Detroit Public Theatre is Getting a New Home
Founded in 2015, the Detroit Public Theatre has been busy! Since its conception, the theatre has produced more than two dozen productions within its temporary home in the Max M. and Marjorie S. Fisher Music Center, the home of the Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
After years of success and growth, it’s time for a space of their own, and we’re elated to be a part of that process.
“When we came up with the idea to have space of our own, we knew we wanted to offer space to other theaters and dance companies that didn’t have a home of their own.”
The new space is located in Midtown, Detroit, in a 7,000-square-foot building built in 1919. At this point, exterior work has been completed, and interior renovations are underway, set to be completed in Spring 2021.
